A backing dancer for Nicki Minaj was bitten by a 6-foot snake during a rehearsal for the singer's upcoming VMA performance of new single 'Anaconda'.
The dancer was attacked by the 6-foot boa constrictor after she startled the reptile on stage.
The dancer, whose name is unknown, is being treated at a local hospital in Los Angeles, TMZ reported.
The snake, according to the L.A. Fire Department, was a boa constrictor.

It’s unknown whether the snake will still be featured in Minaj’s performance tomorrow.
MTV’s Video Music Awards will be broadcast live tomorrow night.
This week Minaj released the full raunchy Anaconda video. The song samples Sir Mix-a-Lot’s hit 1992 track, Baby Got Back
It's so raunchy even the singer reckons the music video will be too much for TV.
“I really doubt I'll be able to edit this video for TV. LMFAO. it's..... Its a lot,” she tweeted.
One Twitter user isn’t necessarily a fan of Nicki’s music, but is loving the visuals as he wrote: “just watched the snippet for the anaconda video. the video miiiiiight make me tolerate the song (sic).
While another added: “Reserving my judgment on Anaconda until I watch the video on mute.”
