Nnamdi Kanu's Trial Stalled

Prominent leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu, trial by the federal government has been stalled due to his absence in court. Nnamdi Kanu It will be recalled that Kanu was arrested and arraigned secretly at the Magistrate Court, Wuse 11, Abuja by the DSS, but was later granted bail on October 19, but he hasn’t been released. On mentioning the case, there was confusion in court when two sets of lawyers announced their appearance for Kanu who was absent.

Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd) has expressed his disappointment over reports that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered his arrest over alleged siphoning of billions of dollars earmarked for arms purchases. Taraba: Appeal Court Upholds Removal Of Sen Abba

A Court of Appeal sitting in Yola yesterday upheld the ruling of Taraba State Election Petitions Tribunal which sacks Senator Bashir Marafa Abba of PDP as senator representing Taraba central senatorial district. The three judges that oversee the case, Justice Jummai Hanatu Sankey, Justice Doubele Abraham and Justice Maiwada unanimously agreed that the appeal filed by Marafa lacked merit hence its dismissal.
