The superstar and her back-up dancers paid homage to the Black Panthers in order to bring attention to the Black Lives Matter movement during the halftime show on Sunday. Not everyone was on board with Beyonce making such a political statement, especially as it came just days after she dropped the controversial video for the song.

French police say six teenagers were killed when the vehicle collided head on with a truck at around 7.15am local time (6.15am GMT). The crash took place in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, in the south-west of the country. The minibus was said to be carrying 17 people - three suffered minor injuries and eight people escaped unhurt. PDP BoT appoints Sen. Walid Jubrin as acting National Chairman

  The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed its acting Secretary, Sen. Walid Jubrin as the new acting chairman of the board. This is contained in a communiqué issued by the Board after its meeting on Wednesday in Abuja. The communiqué was read by Jubrin, who said he would act till the election of a new BoT chairman. He said that the meeting unanimously appointed him to replace its acting National Chairman, Haliru Mohammed, adding that he still remain the secretary to the board.
