Oprah Winfrey’s Stepmother Homeless?

Oprah ‘s stepmother Barbara Winfrey is claiming broke and that the billion-dollar media mogul is forcing her out of her home of 14 years. Barbara and Oprah’s father, Vernon Winfrey, divorced earlier this year and Oprah is stepping in to reclaim the home she purchased for them in 2000. “It’s not just a house, this is my home. All my memories are here. I’m trying to keep it together, but there are some days I just don’t understand how I could have made her so angry that she would kick me out on the street and think nothing about it. But that’s Oprah — she’s judge and jury,” Barbara said in a new interview with the Daily Mail . “We signed so many documents, became part of the Housing Association. I was thankful of course. I never knew it was Oprah’s name on the deeds and that I was just on probation.” Barbara also claims that her estranged husband convinced Oprah to get her “out of the picture” and went on to say Oprah always treated her unfairly. “Look at how she has treated me

Searchers face tough choices in hunt for MH370

Image
SEATCHERS for missing Flight MH370 face tough choices on how to proceed after almost seven fruitless weeks, with only a fraction of a deep-sea zone still left to be scanned. After 11 dives seeking wreckage from the Malaysia Airlines jet which mysteriously disappeared on March 8, an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) has come up empty-handed. "Bluefin-21 has now completed more than 90 percent of the focused underwater search area," the Joint Agency Coordination Centre managing the search said early Thursday. "No contacts of interest have been found to date." Australia is leading the search for the missing Boeing 777, which is believed to have crashed in the southern Indian Ocean after veering dramatically off course from its Kuala Lumpur to Beijing route. JACC refused to speculate on what the next steps would be if the Bluefin-21 ended its 3D sonar scanning some 4,500 metres (15,000 feet) below the surface without result, but said the search would con

Ukrainian forces 'regain city hall'

Image
THE Ukrainian government says it has regained control of the city hall in the eastern port of Mariupol from pro-Russian separatists. There were no reports of serious injuries during the overnight operation in the city, where three pro-Russian protesters were recently shot dead. But local media quote the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic as saying it still controls the city hall. US President Barack Obama has accused Russia of flouting a deal on Ukraine. Pro-Russian separatists have taken over administrative buildings in at least a dozen towns in eastern Ukraine in a bid to seek closer ties to Moscow. Mr Obama told a news conference in Japan that Moscow had failed to halt actions by militants in the region and warned that the US had further sanctions against Russia "teed up". A contingent of US troops has begun landing in Poland for military exercises amid concerns among Nato's eastern members about Russian intentions. Moscow has said it will

Lupita Nyong'o Is No. 1 on People Magazine's Most Beautiful Women

Image
This year just keeps getting better and better for Lupita Nyong'o. The 31 year-old actress, who was virtually unknown when cast in Steve McQueen's '12 Years A Slave', has been prized with yet another accolade. Nyong'o, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at this year's Academy-Awards, is No.1 on People Magazine's Most Beautiful list. While speaking to the celebrity magazine about the honor, she expressed hope that this would reach out to help young black women and make them feel "a little more seen". "It was exciting and just a major, major compliment. I was [especially] happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen." Nyong'o, who was born in Mexico and raised in Kenya, always thought beautiful people were the stars she used to watch on television, which showed no similarities to her. The former production assistant viewed the concept of beauty as people with "light skin and

Message on Boko Haram Attack Causes Panic in Lagos,

Image
A fake message that was circulated Wednesday alleging that members of Boko Haram land finally invaded the South-west and had killed 11 civilians and 20 policemen along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway caused panic among motorists and residents of both Lagos and Ogun States. Immediately the information went out, security agencies including the Joint Task Force (JTF), the Department of State Security (DSS), the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), policemen from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo, were deployed to the area. Also deployed were helicopters to assist the security agencies in aerial coverage, searches and surveillance as they scoured the entire area bordering the supposed attack scene. The message, which went viral on different social media platforms, claimed the sect had invaded the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and unleashed untold mayhem on motorists first and then the policemen who had responded to the distress call. The mess

Beyoncé wears a smaller than her panties shorts at Coachella!

Image
Robin Harper Bad news for all those who live their lives trying to copy  Beyonce   best possible (ie all human beings in fact, men and women, with intelligence)!  Queen Bey has set a new trend which is, frankly, for those who are pelleted, this is the case to say! You did not perhaps notice it at first (or maybe you did not believe your eyes), but the pant interpreter "XO" occupies more space than his shorts! It is clear that the Queen Bey tried to do with his shirt tied around his waist, but it does not cover much. Note that there is more of a transparent fabric resembling white denim pant that looks like a short.  Trend micro shorts are very popular for several summers, but if the next few months we reserve torrid shorts strings on the front, we're screwed. The time may be time to let the stars and immediately abandon this mode.  Or else, it will multiply the gym sessions to muscle inner thighs ...

Nigerian Muslim clerics recruiting Boko Haram members – Cameroon Govt

Image
—Nigerian Muslim clerics living in the border towns of Cameroon and Nigeria are recruiting Boko Haram members in their mosques, the government of Cameroon has alleged. Worse still, government officials in the North East states of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa collaborate with the terrorists and take bribes from them, thereby, hindering the fight against the terrorists. Governors of these states also capitalise on their civilian fears to berate the army and the federal government. These allegations were published in a report, yesterday, by US-based online military news agency, StrategyPage. The magazine explains that the army wants governors in the affected states removed because “many officials in those states are cooperating with Boko Haram (to avoid attack) and are taking bribes from the Islamic terrorists. “Some of these officials are covering themselves in case Boko Haram should gain power and the governors are often just responding to civilian fears of army misconduct,” it n
