Gunmen kill 16 in Ivory Coast beach raid

At least 14 civilians and two soldiers have been killed in an attack by gunmen at an Ivory Coast beach resort popular with tourists, according to the country's president. Witnesses described panic as the attackers sprayed bullets across the beach and opened fire with rifles as they entered the L'Etoile du Sud (Southern Star) hotel in Grand-Bassam, which is around 25 miles east of the capital Abidjan. The hotel was one of three targeted, according to the country's Interior Ministry.

  The President of United State of America, Barack Obama has warned White House contenders to avoid raising tensions, a day after a rally by Donald Trump was called off amid clashes. President Obama said candidates should not resort to “insults” and “certainly not violence against other Americans”. Donald Trump, who leads the race for the Republican nomination, cancelled his Chicago rally after fighting broke out between his supporters and protesters. His rivals and others have accused him of using inflammatory rhetoric and islamophobia.

  Enyimba have defeated Vital’O 5-1 in their Caf Champions League first round, first leg tie on Sunday evening. Two gaols from Mfon Udoh and Stephen Chukwude plus Ugochukwu Leonard’s strike helped the NPFL champions defeat Burundian Vital’O who got their consolatory strike through Hussein Shaban. Chukwude spearheaded the mauling in the 21st minute when he converted in from Christian Pyagbara’s pass. Seven minutes later, Udoh doubled his side’s lead with a sole effort that beat goalkeeper Mac Arthur Arakaza in goal. Former Ifeanyi Ubah forward Chukwude completed his brace just minute before the half time break to send the Aba fans into wild jubilation.

Odemwinge Moves To Bristol City

  English Championship side Bristol City has completed the loan signing of Stoke City forward Peter Odemwingie for the remainder of the season. The 34-year-old Nigerian international will make his debut in his side’s Championship match at Fulham. Odemwinge who is desperate for a starting place, hasn’t recovered his form since returning from injury.

No immediate claim of responsibility for car bomb that killed at least 34 people in Turkey's capital Ankara. A car bomb tore through a crowded transport hub in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Sunday, killing at least 34 people and wounding 125 in the second such attack in the administrative heart of the city in under a month. The blast, which could be heard several kilometres away, sent burning debris showering down over an area a few hundred metres from the Justice and Interior Ministries, a top courthouse, and the former office of the prime minister.

Libya Government Repatriates 172 Nigeria Migrants

  The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has helped 172 Nigeria migrants, including 6 women, to return home to Nigeria from Libya. The repatriation done in close cooperation with Libyan authorities, Nigeria’s Embassy in Tripoli and the IOM office in Nigeria was on board a chartered flight departing Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport and arriving in Lagos this the morning. Before departure, IOM Libya staff provided the illegal immigrants clothes, shoes, underwear, and hygiene kits.

Apple Removed Antenna Bands From iPhone 7, Leaked Sketches Show

Alleged technical drawings for the chassis of Apple's iPhone 7 have surfaced online and may possibly confirm some design changes. The photos were obtained and published online by French website NoWhereElse. The schematics of the iPhone 7 are said to be genuine and are confirmed to be real by notorious leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer ( @OnLeaks ).
