Apple Removed Antenna Bands From iPhone 7, Leaked Sketches Show

Alleged technical drawings for the chassis of Apple's iPhone 7 have surfaced online and may possibly confirm some design changes.
The photos were obtained and published online by French website NoWhereElse.

The schematics of the iPhone 7 are said to be genuine and are confirmed to be real by notorious leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks).
One of the most noticeable changes for Apple's upcoming flagship for 2016 is the absence of the rubber-like antenna bands on the back.


The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s's backs have antenna bands, which make it possible for network signals to pass through their aluminum bodies.


For the iPhone 7, Apple has apparently created a new type of smart material eliminating the need for those undesired stripes found on the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s.


Though unseen in the schematics, the antenna bands will be located on both the top and bottom edges of the handset.

  The leaked schematics of the iPhone 7 may have also confirmed that it will have a redesigned camera.


As was seen in preceding iPhone models, this upgrade doesn't come as a surprise since Apple always upgrades the camera for its newest model.


What's surprising about this is that the camera module itself will be a lot bigger than the ones found in the iPhone 6 and the 6s. The camera also seems to be a lot closer to the edge.


The only thing that the photo doesn't confirm is whether or not the camera will protrude from the iPhone 7's back.


There have been rumors floating around the iPhone 7's camera will be flat like the one found in the iPhone 5s, according to Forbes.


In addition, Apple is reportedly retaining everything else for the iPhone 7.


There's still no indication that Apple will bring in a significantly different design for the upcoming smartphone.


This will most likely irk a lot of users who have been expecting a huge design change for the iPhone, and it could possibly discourage them from buying it.


However, there are already rumors floating around that Apple will be releasing an iPhone 7 Pro.
The iPhone 7 Pro is said to be the same size of the iPhone 7 Plus, but it will come with a dual-lens camera with support for new photography features, according to Techno Buffalo.
