Zimbabwean immigration officials have deported five Nigerian clergymen who were sent to the country by self-styled “God’s Oracle” Chris Okafor. Pastor Okafor, the general overseer of Mountain Of Liberation And Miracle Ministries. Pastor Okafor, who is the general overseer of Mountain Of Liberation And Miracle Ministries (The Liberation City), had sent seven members of his church to Zimbabwe to make preparations for his arrival for a conference convened by a local cleric Joseph Magorimbo.

Chief Olisa Metuh Nigeria’s main opposition political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the partial ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari, which was unveiled today at the senate. In a press statement released by the party’s national publicity secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP opined that there is nothing to be excited about the ministerial nominees.

Tribunal Upholds Mark’s Election, Dismisses APC’s Petition

The State and National Assembly Petitions Tribunal in Benue State yesterday upheld the election of the senator representing Benue South senatorial district, Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The tribunal dismissed the petition filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Daniel Onjeh, saying it struck out the petition for lack of adequate evidence. Onjeh had dragged Mark to the tribunal, alleging that the April 2015 senatorial election in Benue South district was marred because the card reader was not used, and that there was open financial inducement of voters and mutilation of result figures.

Bomb Blast Goes Off At Buhari Housing Estate

Multiple bomb blast has just occurred at Buhari Housing Estate in Damaturu, Yobe state. The State Emergency Management Agency, (SEMA) has confirmed 16 people dead. According to report, the explosions were heard in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, in the early hours of this morning, October 7. The first attack was reportedly carried out by three teenage boys at a mosque inside inside Buhari Estate.

Don't Be Surprised At Diezani's Arrest - Oshiomhole

The Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomhole has said he does not see anything surprising in the arrest of Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The official insisted that under Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency the economy of the country had been “badly mismanaged,” The Punch reports. He made his position known on Tuesday, October 6, when he spoke with journalists after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock.

Fake DSP, 43 MASSOB members arrested in Anambra

Awka- A 32-year old man, Mr. Abdul Maiko, who was allegedly poses as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has been arrested by the Anambra State police command. The suspect hailed from Gari-Lamido in Taraba State. Also in police net were 43members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, who were allegedly disrupting the peaceful atmosphere in the state.

The ground attacks were being carried out by "regime forces", the British-base Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, a term it also uses to describe local and foreign militia allied to Damascus.

Oliseh, Enyeama clash in Belgium

TEMPERS at the Super Eagles camp in Belgium hit the roof yesterday when head coach Sunday Oliseh and his captain Vincent Enyeama had an altercation which resulted in the goalkeeper being ordered out of camp for arriving late. The goalkeeper who demanded to be heard first before being thrown out by the coach refused to bulge, a situation which allegedly forced the coach to call in the security to bundle Enyeama out.
