Arsenal: Arsene Wenger says Leicester win was a mental test

Beating Leicester 'a pivotal moment' Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his side emerged successfully from a crucial mental test as they came from behind to beat 10-man Premier League leaders Leicester at Emirates Stadium. Substitute Danny Welbeck scored an injury-time winner on his first appearance since April 2015 after Jamie Vardy's disputed penalty put the Foxes ahead before Theo Walcott equalised. Now two points behind Leicester, Wenger said: "It was a serious mental test because we found ourselves 1-0 down against a team that defends so well."

Baftas 2016: The Revenant rules at Baftas

Wilderness drama The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, has dominated this year's Baftas. It was named best film while DiCaprio won best actor and Alejandro G Inarritu best director. The Mexican director described the win as "overwhelming". He said DiCaprio's "talent and commitment" to the "risky project" had "kept the film breathing". The ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday was hosted by Stephen Fry. DiCaprio, who plays fur-trapper Hugh Glass, said he was "humbled and honoured" and praised the influence of British actors on his acting career. He also used his win to wish his mother a happy birthday.

'Boko Haram fighters trained in Somalia' - Somalian President says

Somalian President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, said Boko Haram members trained in Somalia before returning to West Africa to carry out their terror activities. According to Reuters, Mohamud said this at a security conference in Germany yesterday February 14th. "Without a stable Somalia, the whole region of the Horn of Africa will remain unstable and by and large, the African continent. There are proofs and evidence that (for) some time Boko Haram has been trained in Somalia and they went back to Nigeria.

The Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), has warned its priests against “market place prophecies and visions, charismatic display of talents and material salvation”. Ignatius Kaigama, president of the conference, gave the warning on Sunday in Abuja during the Catholic Bishop’s Conference at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral. He admonished the priests to shun worldliness and materialism, and charged them not to succumb to the temptation of importing unwanted doctrines that would promote personality and curry favour.

I lose at least $1m every year, serving Nigeria – Ibe Kachikwu

Minister of state for Petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu, says he loses at least $1 million every year for serving Nigeria. According to The Guardian, Kachikwu said this while speaking at a forum in Abuja yesterday February 14th. “The call to public service for me was unique. I was vice-president of Exxon Mobil West Africa and I was suddenly called to serve. In serving, I lose a lot of money, if not at least a million dollars every year by virtue of being a minister, but the thing is, I am directed by the voice of God.

Mbaka: Catholic Bishops defend transfer, cleric’s loyalists kick

Ejike Mbaka’s transfer from the Christ the King Parish, GRA, in Enugu metropolis, to Our Lady Parish, Emene, on the outskirts of Enugu. But Mbaka’s followers on Sunday accused the Peoples Democratic Party of masterminding the transfer of the founder and Spiritual Director of the ministry.
