Rob Pattinson shares a kiss with Kylie in Cannes

Image
RPattz lovers avert your eyes, as pictures of  Robert Pattinson kissing  Kylie Minogue  have emerged. Getty Images Okay, so it's not exactly a full on snog but Rob does look pretty smitten as he leans in to peck the singer's cheek. The pair bumped into each other at Cannes Festival and Rob appeared to be pretty pleased after meeting Kylie. Whilst the actor is not known as having a cheery disposition, he couldn't wipe the smile off his face during Kylie's performance.

Loved up Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton join cleavage-baring Kylie Minogue, Sharon Stone and more at Cannes

Image
Nicole Scherzinger took  a leaf out of Cheryl Cole's book  at Cannes' amFAR gala tonight, and risked a nipple slip in a low-cut dress alongside boyfriend Lewis Hamilton. The on-off couple couldn't hide their happiness as they posed together on the red carpet - and we can't blame Lewis for smiling from ear to ear with this piece of hotness hanging off his arm. The former X Factor judge showed off her tiny waist and generally amazing figure in a tight black strapless dress, and it really couldn't have gone much lower. With her brunette locks swept to the side oh-so-casually, she was back with more than a bang tonight and practically stole the show alongside some of the biggest names in modelling. Not a small feat then.

Earlier this week, Perry posted a teaser photos on Instagram  writing  : "Mmmmm my baby's got a secret" ("my baby a secret," the words of the title of Madonna). The photo shows four legs on the ground, grabbing the leg of a woman, who is none other than Madonna, as we know  now  ! This provocative cover shows the singer of "Birthday" straddling the queen of pop that door, like her, a leather corset and stockings arriving at the upper thigh.

Rolling Stones financial brain Prince Rupert Loewenstein created the world's first £1billion band

Image
Rex Rupert Loewenstein and Keith Richards in 1991 When Mick Jagger met Prince Rupert Loewenstein in 1968, the rocker said he was so skint he couldn’t afford furniture. Despite becoming  one of the world’s biggest bands  with a string of hits steered by manager Andrew Loog Oldham, the Rolling Stones were losing cash rather than making it. It did not help that Oldham’s replacement Allen Klein was creaming off 50% of their royalties. Within four years, the Prince had extricated them from their contract with Klein, got their bank balances back in the black, and laid the foundations for  a billion-pound empire. The dapper merchant banker and German aristocrat,  who died this week at the age of 80,  was always a rather incongruous member of the Stones’ inner circle. While Mick, Keith and the boys indulged in riotous backstage parties, with drugs, booze and groupies on tap, the devout Catholic Prince indulged in nothing stronger than a decent vintage claret. He was introduc

Rita Ora on Calvin Harris: Long-distance relationship makes me sad but you make it work

Image
Loved up: Rita Ora and Calvin Harris They may have topped the charts together this week but Rita Ora and her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris spend much of their time on different continents. The globe-trotting stars – at number one with their collaboration  I Will Never Let You Down  – have spent large portions of their year-long relationship apart. While Rita has been busy promoting the single – the first from her as yet untitled second album – in the UK, Calvin has been DJing 4,000 miles away in Florida. Yet distance is no obstacle for the loved-up couple. “You have to fly each other out, you just have to,” Rita says matter-of-factly. “Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It’s an effort, but you make it work. “I’m not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you’ve got.” The Kosovo-born star, 23,  became accustomed to such difficulties at an ear

Genocide: Count military out –Olukolade

Image
The military yesterday, denied allegation of genocide leveled against it from some quarters in the North, saying that soldiers fighting the Boko Haram insurgents had never involved themselves in such act. According to the military, “at no time or event in the course of the counter-insurgency operation have the troops embarked on the extra-judicial killing of civilians as exhibited in the gory pictures” presented by a newspaper ( not Daily Sun). The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said it found the allegation of genocide against the Nigerian military by a Kaduna-based cleric as not only diversionary but unfortunate.

The Islamists sect members stormed a remote community in northern Borno State Wednesday, killing at least 29 villagers. Egypt army reinforces grip on power with Sisi

Image
Almost a year after toppling Egypt's elected Islamist president, the army is set to strengthen its grip on political life with the near certain election victory of retired army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The former field marshal is expected to trounce his sole rival, leftist Hamdeen Sabbahi, in the election on Monday and Tuesday, almost 11 months after Sisi overthrew Mohammed Morsi. He would be the fifth president from the military since officers toppled the monarchy in 1952. The only exception was Morsi, who was elected in 2012, a year after an uprising overthrew veteran strongman Hosni Mubarak. The 2011 uprising initially caught the army off guard, along with other state institutions. In the end, it was the army who removed Mubarak, a former air force chief, after deciding he could no longer govern in the face of 18 days of massive protests. Morsi sought to clip the generals' wings. He sacked the former defence minister, a Mubarak appointee who ruled in the interim follow

JTF Arrests Immigration Officer with Boko Haram Identity Card

Image
Some Nigerians over the years have consistently maintained that the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, must have sympathisers and memberships in government and security agencies, considering how effective and professional their attacks have been. The arrest of an officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Sunday, has put paid to this suspicion. A Police source told our Correspondent in a telephone interview from Maiduguri, Borno State, that “a high profile Boko Haram member, who is an officer of Nigeria’s Immigration Services, Ahmed Grema Mohammed, was named as one of the security personnel among those carrying out terrorist attacks in the country.” The revelation came after he was arrested by the men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. Mohammed, who is an officer of the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) attached to the Nangere office of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Yobe State, was apprehended at a checkp
