Everton Turn Attention To Valencia’s Aymen Abdennour As Sunderland Refuses To Let Go Of Lamine Kone

Everton are close to agreeing a deal with Valencia for centre-half Aymen Abdennour, according to the Mirror.

Ronald Koeman is said to be ready to continue his summer spending on an offer of £14.5million, plus add-ons.

The Tunisia international joined Valencia from Monaco last summer for £17m.

The Goodison Park club are lining up alternatives with Sunderland boss David Moyes yet to agree to sell Lamine Kone.

Valencia owner Peter Lim was in London at the weekend to discuss the potential sale of Abdennour, as well as that of Shkodran Mustafi to Arsenal.

Tunisian Abdennour was signed from Monaco last summer but failed to convince and Valencia are hoping to recoup most of the £19m they paid for the 27-year-old.
