FEMALE DIES SECONDS AFTER DUE TO ICE WATER CHALLENGE!

Latasha Brown accepted a friendly online challenge invite from her best friend via Facebook the challenge is to toss a bucket of ice cold water over your body. Latashs Brown died from hypothermia 30 seconds later her frozen body was rushed the the hospital where coroner Will Jackson declared her death. Forty-year-old Willis Tepania, a father from Kaitaia, reportedly died of a cardiac arrest, five hours after participating in the ice challenge, which also included consuming nearly a liter of bourbon.

130 Days Later, Chibok Girls Still Missing

On April 14, 2014, the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno was invaded by armed Boko Haram militants who abducted more than 200 female students from the school. The mass kidnapping sparked outrage all over the globe and led to the awareness hashtag #BringBackOurGirls. Concerned citizens from all around the world took to the streets in protest to urge the Nigerian government to intensify efforts to rescue the missing girls. The government first claimed that the girls had been rescued, a report which was found to be false. The Goodluck Jonathan administration has come under severe criticism for what many see as a lax attitude towards the fate of the innocent girls who have now been in captivity for more than 4 months.

Ebola Scare: Woman Dies After 4 Hospitals Reject Her

Ekiti State Government yesterday debunked rumours of an outbreak of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, in the state and cautioned against creating unjustifiable panic through indiscriminate spreading of unsubstantiated rumours about spurious cases of Ebola. This came as the government lamented the unfortunate death of a woman, who was said to have vomited and collapsed in premises of the State Ministry of Health and was rejected in four different private hospitals because of the text messages circulated by some unidentified people suspected to be in the Healthcare sector that tagged her ebola patient.

Nigeria Records Two New Ebola Patients

Nigeria has now recorded two new cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) from secondary contacts of the American - Liberian Patient, Mr Patrick Sawyer. Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu told journalists at a press briefing in Abuja that government cannot be sure of complete eradication. Chukwu advised that "we cannot talk of eradication so soon." He rather called for calm from public so as to avoid panic. He said the tackling of the virus which has received global applause "should let people to reduce the panic, the battle is not over but we have done very well," the minister said.
