Liam was so happy with his meal that he Tweeted a picture of the packaging and thanked the Colonel for his recipe

It's obviously hungry work being part of the world's best-loved boy band.

One Direction's Liam Payne has Tweeted a picture of his KFC takeaway as he refuelled after the lads' massive Manchester gig.

And he enjoyed his meal so much he even professed his love for the man behind the famous KFC recipe, 'Colonel Sanders.'

He may want to double-check his spelling though, as he probably didn't mean to say 'kernel.'

Liam apologised yesterday on behalf of his One Direction bandmates after they were caught on video appearing to smoke a 'joint'.

In a well written statement posted on his Twitter page, the One Direction star bravely confessed the group have gone sideways.

Still, it doesn't appear to have affected Liam's appetite, bless him!
