Such sad news - Nicole Kidman's father has died following a fall in Singapore. Dr Antony Kidman was visiting his daughter, Antonia, and fell in his hotel room after breakfast, reports Australian Women's Weekly.

Dr Kidman was a psychologist and Director of the Health Psychology Unit at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital, and was awarded an Order of Australia in 2005 for his contributions to clinical psychology.

Earlier this year, Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet with her father at the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball in Melbourne. She has previously described him as a "great father", saying "I can call him at three in the morning and he's there for me".
