Davido, Wizkid And Patoranking On Nomination Roll For Mobo Awards




Davido, Wizkid, Patoranking and others on nomination roll: The nominees have been announced for the 2014 Mobo Awards. Set to hold in London at the SSE Arena, Wembley on 22 October, Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, Yemi Alade have been pitched against Fuse ODG, Mafikozolo, Mista Silva, DJ Clock in the Best African Act category.

Also, the 9th edition of the Headies Awards nomination list is out, as 2Face Idibia, Davido, Mavins, Timi Dakolo, Sheyi Shay, Wizkid, KCee and Phyno amongst others.
The Headies annually celebrates deserving stars who have contributed a lot through good music during the year in review (July 2013 – June 2014), and this year promises to be bigger as some artistes would be honoured, and many others would be encouraged to step up their game.

Its been a great year for Davido as he Tops Nominees List For All Africa Music Awards 2014. Davido and Mafikizolo got six nominations each while Uhuru got five nominations.

Mi Casa (South Africa) and TemiDollFace (Nigeria) got four nominations each while Zahara (South Africa) and Wiyaala (Ghana) got three nominations each.

Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Amr Diab (Egypt), Angelique Kidjo (Benin Republic), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Patoranking (Nigeria) and Noura Mint Seymale (Mauritania) all had two nominations each.

Other nominees were Fally Ipupa (DRC), Sakordie (Ghana) and Davina Green (Zimbabwe) who got one nomination each.

Nominees for the Producer of the Year were Don Jazzy (Nigeria) for the song ‘Eminado’; Robbie Malinga and Mojela Thebe (South Africa) for ‘Impilo’; Uhuru (South Africa) for ‘Tchelete’; Mikky Me (Nigeria) ‘Down’ and Del’B (Nigeria) for ‘Pull Over’.

Depp apparently accused his wife of cheating on him with Billy Bob Thornton back in 2015, but the actor has completely denied all allegations. 'Our Brand Is Crisis' star Billy Bob Thornton has branded the suggestion that he slept with Amber Heard during the production of their latest movie 'London Fields' as 'completely false' according to reports from TMZ . The story is that he 'never socialized with Amber off set, other than a cast dinner', and adds that he had no on-set contact with her either, other than in a professional capacity.
