Nicki Minaj shows off her curves in stunning Mario Testino shoot for V Magazine

The Super Bass hitmaker talks about ‘pushing the envelope’ in the new interview

It seems like forever ago that Nicki Minaj ditched the audacious wigs in favour of a more simple look, but that hasn’t stopped her showcasing her stunning curves as much as possible.

Now the Young Money star has posed up a storm for the new edition of V Magazine, looking as fierce as ever.

In the Winter 2014/15 edition, the 31-year-old beauty opens up about she admires powerful women and how she “pushes the envelope”.

“I love women who take control, who set standards, and who believe in themselves enough to lead the way in terms of their career,” she said.

Purr-fect

The star admits that she’s looked to male rappers and how they run their shows, and is inspired by them as well but she wants to be a force for women.

“I’ve done that,” she says of her chart-topping career.

“When I win and when I lose, I take ownership of it, because I really am in charge of what I do. There are a lot of strong male rappers, who’ve influenced me a great deal in terms of my skill, my flow, and my business-savvy side. But at the end of the day, I still want to inspire women.”

Just booty-ful

Nicki, who has collaborated with the likes of Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Rihanna and more, insists that if she’s working with other artists she has to be herself.

“I always push the envelope because I’m Nicki Minaj. I have to,” she said.

“No matter who I’m on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing that no one else is willing to say.

“Whether it’s Madonna or Britney or Beyoncé, they always tell me, "YES. Be yourself. Talk your s***."'

For the Mario Testino shoot, the star has ditched her lairy jumpsuits in favour of a more classy style – with a hint of Nicki Minaj fierceness.

Nicki, who was a former judge on American Idol, poses in a well manicured garden as she gets down on all fours and growls for the camera in a tight-fitting knee-length dress, leopard print heels and matching gloves. Not to mention the amazing £210 Eugenia Kim Caterina leopard print hat – complete with ears.

The star has admitted that she’s not surprised that she loves fashion so much, because of her rap music.

Nicki Minaj is a little more understated these days... kind of 

“There are attitudes in fashion and in hip-hop that match each other… it’s an almost snobby type of feeling. It’s fun!” she said.

“It’s like showing off! I think rap is a lot of showing off, and fashion is too. Versace is like, Look at me, b****. I’m here.”
