'#Parklife': Russell Brand mocked by fans for lengthy rants as Twitter spreads funny Blur-inspired hashtag

As Brand continues to spread his message to even those who don't want to hear it, Twitter has responded with its usual humour

Mocked in serious style

Russell Brand is well known at the moment for spreading deep and meaningful messages online, often quoted from his new book Revolution.

But as many fans tire of the constant rants, they have now found a way to respond - by shouting 'Parklife' right back at him.

It's hard not to find this amusing.

Every time the comedian has posted one of his lengthy messages online over the last few days, users have responded with the hashtag '#Parklife' - inspired by the original Blur hit song.

As many fans will know, the song includes actor Phil Daniels' lengthy lines, which are all finished with the band's singer Damon Albarn singing 'Parklife' to stop him.

It began with Twitter user Dan Barker writing: "His writing feels like someone's about to shout 'Parklife!'"

It is in response to a series of statements made on the comedian's page, with one example being: "This attitude of churlish indifference seems like nerdish deference contrasted with the belligerent antipathy of the indigenous farm folk, who regard the hippie-dippie interlopers, the denizens of the shimmering tit temples, as one fey step away from transvestites.”
And one fan even created a video directly mocking the star, with Damon yelling over the top of him.

Using the power of video editing, Damon's face pops up every so often as the video takes us through some of Russell's most well known rants.

Watch it above.
