Watch Pierce Brosnan's luxury Malibu home go up in flames - James Bond star escaped injury



Pierce Brosnan escaped injury when his luxury home in Malibu went up in flames.

The James Bond actor was spotted outside of the multi-million pound property as fire ripped through it last night and emergency services rushed to the scene.

NBC's Kenny Holmes tweeted photographs of Brosnan looking on with his hand in the air as he chatted to fire-fighters who battled to extinguish the flames.

Holmes wrote on the social media site: "Heavy smoke & fire last night from the garage of Pierce Brosnan's Malibu home. No injuries. Damage to garage/bedroom."


The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that fire had damaged Brosnan's five-mansion Malibu complex.

Footage from the scene also shows the actor and fire crews at the scene.

The Hollywood star, 61, is best-known for playing James Bond in the 007 movies Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough and Golden Eye.

He has since starred in the likes of November Man, The Ghost Writer and Mamma Mia.

According to KABC, the fire reportedly started in the garage at about 11.30 pm local time and was later extinguished.

No injuries have been reported and it is not yet known how the blaze started.
