Premier League: Liverpool, Manchester United Battle for Champions League Place


The two most succesfull teams in England, Liverpool and Manchester United, will go head to head today at Anfield, in a game that could go a long way to determining which side secures a Champions League place.

The MATCH is considered to be one of the biggest rivalry MATCHES in Europe. Between them they have won 121 honours, including 80 major trophies: 59 (41 major) for Liverpool and 62 (39 major) for Manchester United.Brendan Rodgers’ side are in fantastic form of late, winning their last five Premier League
gamesincluding important victories over Tottenham, Southampton and Manchester City. The last time the Merseysiders suffered a league defeat was back in December at Old Trafford.

If Liverpool avoid defeat in this game they will match the longest unbeaten run (14 games) recorded by Chelsea this season in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have lost just one of their last nine Premier League away while Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 14 matches in all competitions at Anfield.
