The commission said 20,000 ad hoc staff would conduct the exercise, adding that some of

those who conducted the presidential polls were found wanting and have either been dropped or redeployed.
INEC Head of Voter Education and Publicity in the state, Alhaji Musa Muhammad disclosed this to journalists.

He said out of the over 4,000 card readers given to the state for the presidential and National Assembly polls, 3,518 were deployed in the 3,035 polling units across the 23 local government areas of the state while the remaining were kept as back-up.

He said out of the 3,518 card readers deployed for the March 28 elections in the state, only 47 failed and that they were replaced. The INEC official said the commission held a meeting with all electoral officials in the 23 local governments of the state to review the March 28 polls.
