The X Factor 2015: Simon Cowell 'offering Rita Ora £1.5 million' to join

SIMON COWELL has reportedly launched a "charm offensive" as he seeks to recruit singer Rita Ora for this year's X Factor judging panel.

It is thought that the music impresario is offering Rita, 24, a £1.5 million deal to join the ITV singing talent show.

But not only that, Simon, 55, is doing everything he can to get the star on board, including letting her use his private jet and an "unlimited" supply of clothes.

Rita, 24, initially turned down the chance to be a judge on The X Factor but has apparently been swayed after her friend and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, who is now thought to be a definite addition to the panel.

The pop singer has already served as a judge on series four of the BBC's The Voice earlier this year but seems to have reservations about joining the programme.

"She is worried about the impact of X Factor on her music career in the US so Simon has said she can use his private jet any time," an ITV source told The Mirror.

"He has launched an extreme charm offensive. He says she can spend what she likes on dresses for the series so she looks great."

“His final part was to offer a huge money deal. He upped the contract to £1.5million which will make her the highest-paid judge," the source added.

If Rita did join The X Factor, she would be leaving The Voice after only one series

Earlier this week it was reported that Rita is in "advanced negotiations" to replace Mel B on the panel with the How We Do singer holding secret talks meetings about jumping ship from The Voice.

Along with Rita it has been reported that Simon is considering former judge Tulisa Contostavlos and Mika, who judges on the Italian version of The X Factor.

Ex-Take That singer Robbie Williams was another contender for the panel but ruled himself out over the weekend after he posted on Twitter: "Said it once, I’ll say it again: I'm unequivocally not doing X-Factor. Good luck to the show though x".
