Furious Mourinho Blasts FA & Wenger

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blasted the English Football Association for inconsistencies in its disciplinary processes and again took aim at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The Portuguese manager was recently handed a one-match suspended stadium ban and fined £50 000 on Wednesday evening after comments he made about officials in the wake of the 3-1 loss to Southampton.

Talking at his new book launch, Mourinho admitted he is walking on thin ice, but still believes his punishment is a "disgrace".

"Every word I say is a big risk for me," said the Stamford Bridge tactician, who was speaking at Waterstones Piccadilly to promote his book, Mourinho.

"I am happy that I don't have an electronic tag. I think it's not far from [that]. I also think that £50 000 in the world where we live today is an absolute disgrace.

"I also think that the possibility of getting a stadium ban is also something absolutely astonishing."

The Blues boss also took a jab at Wenger, who had described referee Mike Dean as "weak and naive" a month ago, but received no sanction.

"When I compare different people, different behaviours, with similar words, the difference between 'afraid' and 'weak and naive' is £10 000 and one-match stadium ban," Mourinho added.

"Premier League managers have difficulties with the press, we have to do press when [we] would prefer not to.

"We now know we can push people, to say the referee is 'weak and naive', we can do it.

"Every manager in this country knows 'afraid' costs £50 000, but 'weak and naive', we can do it."

Mourinho will be in the dugout for Chelsea's next Premier League fixture against Aston Villa on Saturday.
