Kim K.: talks Vogue cover, Naomi Campbell laughs

As soon as Kim Kardashian and her fiance, Kanye West, were unveiled as Vogue magazine's latest cover stars, loyal fashion fans demanded to know how it happened.

Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, has already explained that she believes the reality star and rapper warrant the cover because of the influence they wield. But what does Kardashian have to say about it? (Other than it's a dream come true?)

"I didn't know it was going to be the cover," Kardashian told Seth Meyers on "Late Night" March 26. "It was such a secret, I didn't tell my sisters, I didn't tell anyone. My mom knew, but it was this top secret mission."

The international photo shoot wasn't without its glitches. It seems the highly publicized shot of the Kardashian-West family, in which baby North is cuddling up with her dad sans diaper, was caught in the middle of a bathroom break for the 9-month-old.

"North peed on him right at that moment," Kardashian admitted. "And I had to get up and clean her off, clean him off ... it was a good memory."

Despite the accidents, Kardashian isn't taking her new title as Vogue cover model lightly. "Just to be in the same name as so many amazing people that have been on the cover is such an honor," she told Meyers. "It's the first of a lot: Kanye's the first rapper to be on (the cover), I'm the first reality person to be on, and the first interracial couple. All of (this) just means so much to Kanye and I. Every girl, I think, grows up dreaming that they can be on the cover of Vogue."

Thanks to Wintour's decision, Kardashian can now claim that she shares the same space as legendary model Naomi Campbell, whose opinion of that was made pretty clear in a recent interview with Australia's "The Morning Show."

While Campbell refused to comment with words, her never-ending laughter when asked about the cover said it all.
