Fulham bow out with draw

Fulham bid farewell to the Premier League in some style courtesy of Chris David's stunning injury-time strike that secured a 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace.
With Fulham already relegated and Palace long since safe from the drop, there was little riding on Sunday's final day of the Premier League season clash between the two London clubs other than professional pride.
But David gave Fulham fans at Craven Cottage something to remember at the end of 13 consecutive seasons of top-flight football with a 30-yard drive in the closing seconds that ensured a share of the spoils.
Earlier, Dwight Gayle had scored in each half to put the Eagles on the brink of victory as they rounded off a season where they had seemed certain candidates for relegation until Tony Pulis replaced Ian Holloway as manager in November.
Fulham boss Felix Magath, the German who has never suffered demotion before in his managerial career, made five changes following the 4-1 defeat at Stoke that confirmed the Cottagers relegation.
Alex Kacaniklic, Hugo Rodallega, Elsad Zverotic, Fernando Amorebieta and Cauley Woodrow -- who scored Fulham's initial equaliser on Sunday -- started with club-record signing Kostas Mitroglou on the bench.

In his programme notes, Fulham's US-based owner Shahid Khan said Magath had his "complete faith" before adding the manager knows "my expectations are demanding".
Meanwhile Palace made three changes to the team that staged a remarkable rally against Liverpool in a 3-3 draw that effectively ended the Merseysiders' title challenge, with Wayne Hennessey, Tom Ince and Gayle all included by manager Tony Pulis.
It was Gayle who gave Palace a 28th minute lead when
Palace made the breakthrough in the 28th minute when he diverted a long-range effort by Joel Ward past Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale.
It wasn't until past the hour mark that Fulham were level, when Woodrow struck after good work by Rodallega.
Gayle quickly restored Palace's lead when he curled a free-kick through a pathetic wall before David had the final say.
