Ahmed Musa lifts Russian Super Cup with CSKA Moscow

Nigeria striker Ahmed Musa has won the Russian Super Cup with CSKA Moscow after a comeback 3-1 victory over nine-man Rostov in Krasnodor on Saturday.Musa who impressed at the 2014 Fifa World Cup with Nigeria was yet again a delight to watch for the Russian Premier League champions despite not scoring a goal but his assists ensured the victory.Rostov grabbed the lead in the 37th minute through left-back Hrvoje Milic and ended the first half in front against a depleted CSKA Moscow that had a couple of their important players absent.CSKA secured an equalizer in the 56th minute due to Rostov’s defensive blunders as Pontus Wernbloom fired home a sublime cross from Musa.Unfortunately, Rostov were reduced to nine men with forward Guelor Kanga and midfielder Alexander Gastskan in separate incidents both dismissed inside two minutes.The Red Army snapped the numeric advantage as Zoran Tosic made it 2-1 in the 74th minute and Seydou Doumbia slotted home for 3-1 in the 80th minute to complete the rout.
