Auto Crash: 7 Die On Ayingba-Lokoja Highway

Seven persons have lost their lives in a multiple auto crash which occurred along Ayinba-Abeji-Lokoja express way in Kogi State.

Eyewitness told our reporter that a Sienna bus was avoiding a motorbike on its route and ran into two oncoming cars, killing the drivers and the passengers in the cars.

A relation of some of the victims, who lost his wife and daughter, said that his family travelled to Abuja for a wedding but perished in the crash on their way back.

Another eyewitness told our reporter in Ayingba that one Mahammed, who was killed in the fatal accident same day, lost his wife, who had gone to a bank in Lokoja to make some transactions.

When contacted, the police public relations officer, Mr Mike Emeh, confirmed the incident stating that the accident was as result of dangerous overtaking at a bend.
