Transfer news and rumours LIVE: Angel Di Maria & Mario Balotelli updates and all Sunday's deals

A day of rest? You have got to be kidding. There is only eight days left in this summer's transfer window and it's hotting up. Stay here for all the done deals

11:55 am
Arsenal transfer round-up
I knew we'd get there eventually.
Plenty of rumours coming out of the north London rumour mill.
We start with Mario Balotelli - I am sorry, I know he is going to Liverpool but you want to hear this.
Arsenal fans maybe surprised to read that the Gunners twice spurned the chance to sign Mario Balotelli before his proposed £16million switch to Liverpool.
As you have read earlier, Lukas Podolski is on the verge of switching the Emirates for Turin.
Kostas Manolas could be on the verge of signing for the Gunners as a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen.
11:48 am
More Manchester United related transfer news, right now.
Rumours circulating in the Sunday press that Nigel De Jong and Daley Blind are imminent arrivals at Old Trafford.
Their countryman, Louis van Gaal, is keen to sign them because they have played in his 3-5-2 formation at the World Cup.
Old Trafford's new Emperor is looking for defensive and midfield reinforcements before the transfer window closes, with departures and injuries making his squad look paper thin.
11:37 am
I'm working hard and putting a shift in to bring you these transfer stories.
Speaking of hard-working people, who put a shift in and give 110% all the time. Here's a line from Manchester City.
And according to the Sun on Sunday, it seems like Manuel Pellegrini is starting to appreciate the industrious side of football and is set to continue his contract spree by handing James Milner a new deal.
The City boss hoping to tie down a deal for the midfielder but only once Pelligrini gives him assurances of first team football.
Milner has rumoured to be on his way this summer, with Liverpool interested in taking him.

Done Deal Klaxon
The first klaxon of this beautiful Sunday morning.
But it's awful news if you are a fan of Hull City.
Vincent Aboubakar has signed for Porto - he's now a Dragon and not a Tiger.
The centre-forward has signed from Lorient after being linked with a host of clubs around Europe.
22-year-old Cameroonian international striker hit 16 goals in 35 games for the French side last season.
He looks absolutely buzzing to have signed.

Balotelli replacement watch
We're staying in north London to bring you a line from the Emirates Stadium.
Joel Campbell has emerged as a loan target for AC Milan as they step up their search for Mario Balotelli, with only eight days to go in the transfer window.
Arsenal were made aware of the Serie A club's interest in their Costa Rican international through the player's agent, who is keen to set up a meeting between the two clubs in the next week.
The San Siro club are willing to pay the 22-year-old's wages in full for the season.
Arsene Wenger has not yet given Milan any indication as to his plans for Campbell, who was one of Costa Rica's stars at the World Cup finals.

11:04 am
It's the second time that we're going to White Hart Lane for some transfer news today and it's only 11am.
You only get that kind of service here at Mirror Football.
Spurs are desperate to sign some centre-backs and after they were scared off by Mateo Musacchio's £40million price tag.
They're keeping their options open, they're close to the signing of Federico Fazio from Sevilla and now, Tottenham's director of football Fanco Baldini is trying to persuade Daniel Levy that Fabian Schar is worth buying.
22-year-old Schar broke into the Swiss national side last year and was a part of their World Cup squad in Brazil.
10:52 am
Liverpool round-up
We head to Anfield for the next of our transfer round-ups.
Where shall we start? Silly question - there is only one place to start.
Mario Balotelli will be formally presented as a Liverpool player on Tuesday after pitting the finishing touches to his £16million transfer after finalising talks yesterday.
His agent Mino Raiola has told him to behave himself, it's his last chance to prove himself in the Premier League - his age isn't an excuse anymore.
They have cooled their interest on Samuel Eto'o which has alerted their City rivals.
10:42 am
Manchester United round-up
The man in the Old Trafford hot seat is starting to shape his squad despite working from a transfer B-list.
Angel Di Maria is rumoured to be about to sign for Manchester United - but I imagine he was one of the A-listers they managed to get their paws on.
He was snubbed by Manchester City, paving the way for the Red Devils to sign the wantaway Real Madrid winger.
News that I brought earlier that Danny Welbeck is rumoured to be off to White Hart Lane, there is some more news on that transfer.
New signing Marcos Rojo could be going to jail and United are still in for Arturo Vidal.
Standard day at Old Trafford really.

10:29 am
That pesky Andre Villas-Boas, who is now exiled in Russia, could be close to stealing a target from under the nose of one of his former clubs.
Fredy Guarin is on the verge of penning a contract at Zenith St Petersburg and will see him link up with his former FC Porto gaffa, once again, according to reports in the Daily Star.
Manchester United, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are all keeping tabs on the 28-year-old Colombian international.
The Inter Milan star is looking into the possibility of joining the western Europe clubs but the Russian offer is the only one on the table at the moment.
10:10 am
Maurico Pochettino looks to be leading the race to sign Manchester United centre-forward Danny Welbeck.
There is still an issue with the details of the transfer. Spurs are keen to take the striker permanently in a deal worth £15million.
But, and this is a big but. It depends on whether Louis van Gaal believes the Englishman has a long-term future with the club.
The new Manchester United supremo had earlier said he was only willing to let Welbeck leave on loan, but with only two years left on his contract. United must let him go this week if they are to get full market value for him.
Welbeck is keen to leave, he has told friends that he wants to move to Tottenham and Pochettino sees him as a man to lead their line, as opposed to the wide role he operates in for United.

9:59 am
I think we're going to take a romantic trip to Italy for our first Sunday update.
We can feed each other chocolates and take ride on a gondola as I tell you about what is happening to Lukas Podolski - doesn't that sound fantastic?
Well according to our Italian friends Tuttosport, Juventus are close to signing the German international striker on a season-long loan deal.
The Old Lady have already been given the green light by the player's representatives and are meeting Arsenal to see whether it's a yay or nay from them.
9:44 am
Good morning all - sore heads have we?
Well I haven't, I was responsible last night because I knew I had to update all you lovely people with what's going on this fine Sunday in August.
There's an apple on my desk, a cup of tea and I'm ready to roll.
Sit back and enjoy your Sunday with me because there's no quietening down in the transfer market and I'll be throwing everything that is happening your way.
So where do we start? Anfield? The Emirates?
No. Old Trafford. Where Angel Di Maria looks set to join the Red Devils but only after their noisy neighbours said no.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
