DONE DEAL
First done deal of the day folks!
And it's from the Championship where new boys Brentford have signed former Watford, Sunderland, Derby, Watford, Portsmouth, QPR and Cardiff striker Tommy Smith.
The 34-year old has penned a one-year deal with the Bees and will probably knock in a few for them as they look to avoid an immediate return to League One.
It means, though, that fellow Brentford forward Adam Forshaw will probably be on his way to Wigan. Former Bees boss Uwe Rosler wants Forshaw and has made a £2.5m bid.
So it's one in one out at Griffin Park!

Some good news for Southampton fans at last....someone ISN'T leaving!
Jose Fonte has pledged his future to Saints after refusing to join the player drain from St Mary’s.
The former Palace defender has given new boss Ronald Koeman a boost by opening talks to extend his Saints deal, which runs out next summer.
Fonte said: “I am in negotiations to renew my contract. There have been offers from other clubs, but I’m happy here.”
The likes of Luke Shaw, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Calum Chambers, Dejan Lovren and, yesterday, Dani Osvaldo have all headed through the St mary's exit door but Fonte isn't going to follow them.
Fonte said: “I’m sad that so many players left, but that’s football.”

Celtic boss Ronnie Deila has had a rough start to life at Parkhead.
A 6-1 aggregate defeat to Legia Warsaw in the Champions League qualifiers probably wasn't on the planner.
And now the Norwegian wants to sign some new faces, and try to convince them Champions Leggue football is boring anyway.
"It could be more difficult of course, we will see how that goes.
"But we need players with pace, ambition and who are young. I want to build a team who could last for many years.
"It is my responsibility but I need time to get players in.
"I saw things which were good but there were too many things that need to improve.
"I have to accept that is the level right now and have to work from here.
"I have been here for six weeks but right now it is not good enough, from what I can see.
"We need to make the squad better by getting in new players but we also have to do the best with what is here.
"Right now, of course it is not good enough."

Swansea are ready to splash out £8million on Napoli’s Argentina World Cup centre-half Federico Fernandez.
Supremo Huw Jenkins has made a bid for the 25-year-old who wants to quit Rafa Benitez’s club.
Fernandez (above) started for Argentina in Brazil before injury forced him out of the latter stages.
But he has been in and out of the Serie A side for the past two seasons. He was even sent out on loan to Getafe in Spain but was a more regular starter for Napoli last term.
Fernandez looks set to replace Chico Flores, who clashed with Liberty Stadium chief Garry Monk and is following ex-boss Michael Laudrup to Qatar.
Swansea are also interested in Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk.

Walsall could hand a lifeline to ex-Chelsea kid Billy Clifford after he was dumped by Jose Mourinho.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the League One Saddlers last week on trial.
Clifford never made the first team for the Blues and he was loaned to Colchester, Yeovil and Royal Antwerp.
But he impressed in a 1-0 friendly defeat to Aston Villa and Walsall boss Dean Smith, whose side open the season at Port Vale, said: “He is the right age for us.”

Let's get some more transfer rumours from Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal looks to add more players to his ranks before the season starts.
The one man he reeeeeeeally wants is Arturo Vidal but the Juve midfielder's drawn out transfer saga continues to roll on and he's still not a United player yet.
Could LVG give up and go for someone else? Reportedly, that man could be stud enthusiast Nigel de Jong.
NDJ is keen to work with LVG again not just from their time together for the national team but also because they both have names that can be abbreviated to three letters.

We've all had bad days at the office.
But Man City's press team dropped a clanger when they leaked footage on their website of Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala discussing his move to the club last month...before it had actually been finalised.
Oops.
But online gaffes and no financial fair play rules aint gonna stop Manchester City spending dollar dollar bills, y'all.
French centre-back Mangala - who I think might be my favourite name of the whole of the summer transfer window so far - is poised to become a City player for £32m by the weekend after some complications over payment terms finally being ironed out.
Stand by, folks.
