Yes, it seems Hannah Montana wasn't going to take being pipped to the popularity post by Nicki Minaj lying down.

And what better way to get your own back for Nicki's Anaconda video beating Wrecking Ball hands down with the most views in 24 hours, than twerking with a supersize ass and pretending to imitate the rap star?

Miley couldn't resist posting this backstage video from the Bangerz tour, as she prepared to go on stage in Puerto Rico wearing her enormous new addition.

Blow-drying her hair and wearing a white sparkly crop top and very skimpy matching thong, the sex pot star revelled in using the opportunity to have a pop at her rival Ms Minaj.

"I don't even need wigs b****es," Miley blurts out, as she launches into a Nicki-esque twerk complete with imaginary long-haired head-tossing.

The swipe comes after the pair have locked bums a few times in recent weeks after Miley spoofed Nicki’s new Anaconda album cover, which shows off the rapper’s well endowed derriere.

Miley seemed to take the ass-beating well, when she discussed with MTV how Anaconda smashed the Wrecking Ball record for views in the first 24 hours.

She said: "With that ass … I ain't got that ass. I can bring that body, I can bring that wrecking ball, but I can’t bring that ass. Not that Anaconda."

But Miley couldn't let it lie, could she?

After sharing the arrival of her new stage prop a few weeks ago with us all, the temptation to use it to take the mickey out of Minaj proved too enticing.

We wonder what will come next as the battle of the bums continues between these two?

All we can say is jealousy gets you nowhere.
