2015 Elections: PDP Agent Killed In Lagos Over PVC Distribution; APC Governorship Aspirant Arrested

An electoral agent of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sikiru Ogboye was murdered on Sunday in Ibeju Lekki while he was monitoring the distribution of the new Permanent Voters Card.

Ogboye was reportedly shot dead by thugs who were later arrested by policemen from the Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah.

A governorship aspirant under the APC, whose name was withheld, was also taken in for questioning by the police.
Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Kayode Aderanti, confirmed last night that the APC governorship aspirant was being questioned over the incident, saying a pump action gun was found in his car. He said:


“It is true; I warned earlier that anybody, no matter how lowly or highly placed, found with illegally acquired weapon must answer for it. The man needs to tell us what he was doing with a pump action found in his car and if his explanations are not satisfactory, we’ll take him to court.”
