Manchester United Launch Record Bid For Hummels



Mats Hummels could become the most expensive defender in the premier league if Dortmund accept Manchester United’s bumper bid for him.

Manchester United’s reported first official bid is €45 million and so far, Dortmund have yet to respond to the offer by the Old Trafford club. Dortmund would be unable to resist at least negotiating the deal as they would not want to lose as they did in Lewandoski’s departure. Hummels on his part might not want to quit Dortmund just yet even though their chances of Champions league football next season are worse than Manchester United’s at the moment.

If the deal goes through at the current price, Hummels would become the most expesnive defender to come to the premiership eclipsing Mangala’s €40 million move to Manchester City
