Scotland 1-3 England: All the best pictures as Wayne Rooney scores twice for Three Lions

The England skipper is now closer to Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time record after a brace at Celtic Park followed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's header

Wayne Rooney continued his march to England's all-time scoring record with a brace against Scotland at Celtic Park.

The Manchester United man took his tally to 46 goals and is now just three short of Sir Bobby Charlton following the Three Lions' 3-1 win.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring in front of an expectedly-raucous crowd, glancing home from a fantastic Jack Wilshere pass.

Within two minutes of the second-half, England were 2-0 up as Scotland failed to deal with the ball in the box before Rooney headed past David Marshall.

Andrew Robertson gave the hosts a lifeline late on but their joy was short-lived when Rooney prodded home after a pull-back from Adam Lallana.
