The former Spice Girl was in floods of tears as she accepted the Brand of the Year Award and thanks her husband the British public

Victoria Beckham was in tears tonight as she was handed the prize for Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2014.

The fashion designer, who was supported at the event at London's Coliseum by her husband David, 39, couldn't contain her emotional as she cried and thanked her other half, business partner Simon Fuller AND her fellow former Spice Girls after pursuing her fashion dream following the band's split.

As she went to pick up her award for her fashion empire, she told guests: "We've come a long way since the Spice Girl dressing room days."

She also confessed that she could be a "right pain in the butt" and didn't understand how Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton could be so supportive.

The crowd cheered when it was announced that she won and she thanked the British public as she said they had supported her and this was where she had built her brand.

David, 39, and Victoria graced the red carpet earlier on in the night and looked relaxed after a busy afternoon promoting World Aid's Day at Vicky B's flagship London store.

The retired soccer star, who has recovered after a woman in her Mitsubishi crashed into his Audi in London on Saturday, opted for an all black outfit and looked suave in his suit, shirt and skinny tie.

His 40-year-old wife chose a unique floor-length black and white maxi skirt from her own collection with a gold chain at the front matched with a backless black jumper.

She wore her hair up and looked protective of David, placing one hand on his arm while he gazed into her eyes and smiled.

The pair showed there's still a spark between them and they're not just a boring married couple by staring into each others eyes and holding hands. Too cute.

She's a fashion icon and ALWAYS looks good at the annual awards, which this year took place at the London Coliseum hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall for the second year in a row.

But although Vicky B looked stunning as she posed for the paps, she wasn't the most dressed-up star on the night, with the likes of US star Rihanna, supermodel Cara Delevingne, pop star Ellie Goulding and singer Nicole Scherzinger wearing VERY glam outfits.

The stars rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in fashion and One Direction star Harry Styles was also spotted at the ceremony, wearing a pin-striped red and black suit.
