Joke Silva places a curse on the pirates in Nollywood

Veteran actress Joke Silva has placed a curse on the faces behind the problem of piracy that the Nigerian movie industry is facing today.

In an exclusive chat with YNaija, the actress, shortly after her session at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference event in Lagos, poured out her heart about the menace of piracy.

She said: “There needs to be a a political will by the government to shut these people down once and for all. They should the enforce the law as they deem fit and make it a top priority.”

“They are stealing and robbing good people of their wealth and sweat, the likes of comedian AY and Kunle Afolayan and I know how much sweat these people go through. I know how Kunle makes his movies, he puts in everything into it, including his children’s school fees, he puts in everything. So it’s more like these pirates are taking the food from the children’s mouths.”

She also placed a curse saying “Unless God is not on the throne, I know these pirates will suffer for all these evils, they will not end well, you can not just continue too reap where you did not sow”.
