ARISE NEWS Wins 58th New York Emmy Award

The emerging global news and entertainment channel, ARISE NEWS won the Emmy’s in New York with the documentary: “Game Changers: How the Harlem Globetrotters Battled Racism.”

The documentary was recognised in the Nostalgia Programme category – the first Emmy for ARISE News Channel.

On winning the Emmy’s, executive producer, Alan Weiss sent a simple note at 2:43 AM (GMT) this AM: “Thank you Nduka, I am glad we made you proud!”


Alan Weiss also congratulated all founding members of the ARISE NEWS CHANNEL in New York, London and Africa who made this feat possible even before the formal launch of the ARISE NEWS.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nomination of ARISE NEWS February 17, 2015 for the 58th Annual New York Emmy Awards among others.
