Okonjo-Iweala alleges media campaign against her

Former Finance Minister Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has dismissed recent media reports her family would soon open a multimillion-dollar hospital in Abuja.

A spokesman said this was "totally baseless" and "another lie."

Spokesman, Paul Nwabuikwu, said the alleged hospital did not exist and called interested public to check the area were the hospital is allegedly located.

“Having failed to achieve any success after months of unsubstantiated figures and wild allegations against Dr Okonjo-Iweala, the political and corrupt vested interests who have been attacking her have now turned their evil attention on her family," said Nwabuikwu.

He said the story, “Former Finance Minister Okonjo-Iweala’s Family to open multi-million Dollar Hospital in Abuja” as published by a website, was the latest chapter in the alleged anti-Okonjo-Iweala campaign.

Nwabuikwu said the story was totally baseless for a reason that it was non-existent.

"Anyone who is in doubt can go to Gwarinpa, Abuja where the hospital is allegedly located or enquire from General Electric and Perkins + Will Global."

The two organisations were mentioned as consultants to the project in the report. - CAJ News
