Nigerian Ronaldo hails fantastic Eagles

Moses Simon says he only did his best to add to a ''fantastic collective effort by the Super Eagles'' to yield a 2-0 victory over Swaziland, in the second leg of the round 2 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

The youngster who scored the first goal of Tuesday’s match at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium with an excellent free kick is ''100% certain Nigeria will perform well in the group stage of the qualifiers.''
Praising coach Sunday Oliseh for his ''amazing tactical awareness and technical ability'', Simon said there is collective unity in the Super Eagles way beyond the imagination of outsiders.

''People know we are a simple united unit but in reality we see each other as brothers and love for each other is uniquely golden. This spirit can help us win our upcoming matches.''

The KAA Gent winger also attributed the win to what he called the collective factor, saying, ‘‘No exaggeration, in the Suler Eagles there is one theme and that is in the two-word phrase, collective effort.''

The former Trencin starlet added: ''The idea was always for the Super Eagles not to concede in the first half so I had to be tracking back to help the defender line. Elsewhere, my colleagues performed excellently and we won deservedly.''
