Meek Mill in Court; Nicki Minaj Speaks on His Behalf

 
Rapper Meek Mill appeared in court Thursday on a possible probation violation, and Nicki Minaj arrived in court separately. At the hearing, Mill received a continuance, and the proceedings will resume next Thursday
Only Fox 29 cameras were there as Meek Mill showed up for court this afternoon in Center City for a hearing on a probation violation. Dressed in a dark fitted suit and pastel colored shirt, Meek was hopeful as he walked into the Criminal Justice Center.

"Anything you want to say going in about the probation violation? (Meek Mill) No. Just hopefully I make out good," he told Fox 29.


Meek headed through security amid family and friends. Then moments later our cameras captured rap superstar Nicki Minaj donned in a deep blue colored top and skirt arriving to support her boyfriend or is it fiancée?

The night before court Minaj tweeted out this picture of a huge rock on her finger. The caption read, "This is what I'm talking about baby. Lol. Love you." When asked about their relationship in court she didn't say they're engaged, just that quote, "We are in a romantic relationship."

Meek Mill spent about three hours in court over allegation he violated travel restrictions while he's on probation for a drug and gun case from 2009. Several witnesses were questioned regarding his travels and court ordered community service. But the most powerful testimony came from Nicki Minaj who set the record straight that she was not there as a witness but to speak on Meek's behalf. She claims the rapper can be irresponsible and doesn't have structure regarding what community service should be or where he can go and when.

Minaj vowed to help structure Meek and keep him on track. Meek appeared slightly relieved when court ended for the day and he was free, at least for another week when he 's due back in court and a judge will decide if he will face jail time.
