Siasia kicks out more stars from Super Eagles camp

 
Samson Siasia has picked just six home-based Super Eagles for the clash with Egypt – Arsenal star Alex Iwobi is the first foreign based Eagles star to arrive camp – 19 home-based stars are expected to arrive camp for the AFCON 2017 Super Eagles gaffer Samson Siasia has kicked out 16 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) stars from the camp ahead of the Egypt showdown.

 The foreign based players expected are; Goalkeepers: Carl Ikeme (Wolverhampton Wanderers, England); Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa). Defenders: Efe Ambrose (Celtic FC, Scotland); Abdullahi Shehu (Uniao da Madeira, Portugal); Elderson Echiejile (AS Monaco, France); Stanley Amuzie (Olhanense FC, Portugal); Godfrey Oboabona (Caykur Rizespor, Turkey). Midfielders: Ogenyi Onazi (SS Lazio, Italy); John Mikel Obi (Chelsea FC, England); Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City, England); Azubuike Okechukwu (Yeni Matalyspor, Turkey).
