It's alleged that 40 year old Elizaberth Choshi from Extension 73 near Seshego outside Polokwane was distributing EFF pamphlets when a man wearing an ANC t-shirt allegedly shot her at a taxi rank in Polokwane.

The man shot Choshi on the tight during an argument.

Police spokesperson Ntobeng Phala said, An argument ensued between the man and Choshi. Choshi allegedly slapped the man who in turn shot her and fled.

EFF Provincial leader in Limpopo Mike Matheba says is obvious that the incident is politically-motivated.

Matheba says, “We are very much disappointed unfortunately they were just quarrelling about being ANC and the other one being EFF this is the violence we are condemning as the EFF.

ANC Provincial spokesperson Aluwani Netsianda says police must be given time to investigate whether the suspect is an ANC member.

Netsianda says, “We are concerned about the allegation that a person was wearing an ANC t-shirt. The ANC will never encourage anybody to use violence as a means of expressing a different political opinion.”

Police have not arrested anyone at this time, but acting station commander has task a tracing team to find an arrest the man
