He's having a ruff day! Terrified boy desperately tries to escape neighbour's barking dog as he retrieves a ball from their garden - but his friends just watch and laugh
A Brazilian boy got the fright of his life when he leapt over his neighbour's wall to retrieve his ball - only to be greeted by a terrifying, snarling dog.
Footage shows the young lad nervously making his first steps into next door's garden as his friends look on.
Clearly aware of what might happen the cheeky pals can be heard teasing the yellow-shirted boy with woofing noises as they egg him on.
He peers around the corner to where the house is, fearing what might come bounding towards him.
The youth pauses in fear at one point when the barks sound much more realistic.
But just as he decides to soldier on a dog comes racing at full tilt towards him down the garden.
Visibly petrified the boy turns on his heels and dashes back towards the white wall, desperately scrambling at the stone in an attempt to get away and to the safety of the other side.
The cameraman can be heard laughing but the panicked boy clings a to a friend leaning over the wall as he tries to lift his feet up and away from the snapping pooch.
So eager is the dog to get its teeth into the child it stands on its hind legs as it lunges at him.
The unfortunate youth is left hanging for quite some time, even after the dog has lost interest as his friends chuckle uproariously at the hilarious incident.
Finally, however, another friend reaches out to grab him and he is hauled to safety.
The group sit on the wall - with the boy no doubt trying to get both his breath and dignity back - as the hound lopes back towards its house.
The video has been viewed nearly 9,000 times since being shared online.
