#NGR D’Tigers Suffers Second Defeat In A Row In #Rio2016




Nigeria’s men basketball team, D’Tigers, gave a more solidarity display in their second group stage game against Lithuania on Tuesday night, but still lost narrowly to 80-89, a 9 point deficit.

D’Tigers, who lost their opening match to Argentina, started brilliantly in the opening minutes of the game with Ike Diogu hitting the first bucket of the game.

Nigerian captain Ike Diogu, a former NBA player, led Nigeria with 19 points and seven rebounds while Michael Umeh added 17.

Nigeria will meet fellow Spain who also is winless in Group B of the tournament on Thursday.
