GRAMMY Red Carpet 2014: Best and Worst Dressed

As the world gears up for the biggest night in music to officially begin, the ladies of Radio.com—Courtney E. Smith, Jillian Mapes, Annie Reuter and Shannon Carlin—got together to chat about the best, worst and weirdest fashion that the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards had to offer.
Because, let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, it’s about how well you played the fashion game.
Check out below to see who we think rocked the red carpet and those who need a bit more practice before next year’s awards.

Carlin: She looks like a fairy princess. Her makeup and eyebrows just look amazing. I think she’s my best dressed.
Mapes: She is great looking. I think she’s best dressed for me too.
Smith: I like that dress, it’s better from the side than full on. Her hair is great too.
Reuter: I was surprised it wasn’t edgy, I expected something edgy. She’s elegant though.

Smith: Taylor Swift is growing her bangs out, that’s all I can say. Again it’s the sparkly look, but I like the column. We’re used to the big skirts with her. I like the columns.
Carlin: I like the silver chainmail look. It’s elegant without being old lady. Very statuesque.
Reuter: Very elegant. I love her makeup too.

Mapes: I’m feeling that Pharrell has a huge Adidas deal.
Smith: That would be the hat throws everything askew, period. His head is not right for a hat. A visible keychain is inappropriate. When you’re nominating for a GRAMMY, just inappropriate.

Skylar Grey in Michael Costello

Mapes: It’s kind of hot. You see just her tattoos, it looks like she’s nude.
Smith: The makeup and the nude dress, it washes her out.
Carlin: I agree. I think that it reminds me too much of Gaga’s latex get-up when she arrived to perform “Born This Way”

Colbie Caillat in Ezra Santos

Smith: She could totally be a Canadian figure skater.
Mapes: She looks kind of hot with her makeup, the one shoulder. It’s nice to see her looking a bit edgier. I don’t know it’s okay. It’s interesting. I still don’t like red on the red carpet.
Smith: No, I hate it. Her hair is lopsided and her dress is lopsided.
Reuter: I like it. I think the red looks good on her. I think it makes her look edgy.
