Jang to Amaechi: Stop Inciting People Against President Jonathan, FG

The factional Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and the Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, took a swipe at his colleague from Rivers State, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, over missing N8.5 trillion, alleging that the latter was inciting Nigerians against President Goodluck Jonathan and the Federal Government.
Gov. Jang made this statement on January 22, 2014, Wednesday.
He described the contents of a communiquĂ© issued by Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s led Governors’ forum after its last week’s meeting in Abuja as frivolous and inciting, and also accused Gov. Amaechi of seeking recognition.
Gov. Jang pointed out that some of the issues raised by Amaechi’s Governors Forum have already been debated and discredited and, “therefore lacked credibility.”
It will be recalled that Amaechi-led NGF had at its meeting urged the National Assembly to urgently institute a comprehensive independent forensic audit by an international reputable firm into the alleged missing $49.8 billion (N8.5 trillion), equivalent of two years of the national budget.
