Former United defender Gary Neville has pledged to give £10,000 to charity after losing a bet to Arsenal fan Piers Morgan.
In December, Morgan bet Neville that United would not finish above Arsenal OR in the Premier League's top five.
Sky pundit Neville gladly took on the wager, but saw his former side finish seventh - three places below the Gunners.
Wayne Rooney has described the English media as "disgusting" for being in Portugal to report on the England striker while he is on a break with his family.
In a tweet, the Liverpudlian wrote: "Disgusting that English press have flew out to Portugal to follow me while I'm with my children."

Louis van Gaal is expected to be named Manchester United manager today and he has given Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, an A, B and C list of desired players.
The prime targets are Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben and Thomas Müller, along with Borussia Dortmund central defender Mats Hummels.
Van Gaal has also approved the signings of Southampton's Luke Shaw and Bayern's Toni Kroos, who were identified as transfer targets during David Moyes' tenure.
