Boko Haram set to release Chibok Girls



New reports claims that Islamist militant group, the Boko Haram, has announced that the kidnapped Chibok girls would be released unfailingly on Monday, 27 October, 2014.

The self-acclaimed Secretary General of Boko Haram, Mallam Danladi Ahmadu, made the claims today stating that the sect’s ceasefire agreement with the Federal Government is still on course.


Ahmadu, who spoke in the Hausa service of the Voice of America VOA, added that the final meeting between the Boko Haram and the Nigerian government has been scheduled for Monday in Ndjamana, Chad.


He informed that the meeting would be supervised by the Chadian leader, Idris Derby.



According to Ahmadu, the enlarged meeting has been fixed for the weekend to prepare ground for the Monday meeting with the Federal government.


On the latest kidnap of over 40 women and girls in the border villages between Adamawa and Borno states, Ahmadu stated that they are not aware of the attacks.


He informed that the group is already investigating the kidnap to determine the involvement of its members.


The Boko Haram scribe however, revealed that many anti-social groups have infiltrated the sect.



Ahmadu alleged that political thugs, armed robbers, kidnappers, hired assassins and other anti social groups now parade themselves as members of the sect.
