Bayern Munich win third successive Bundesliga title

Bayern Munich have emerged as champions of the German league, for the third time in a row.

The Bavarians beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 on Saturday, to open up a 15-point gap between themselves and Wolfsburg.

On Sunday, Wolfsburg were beaten 1-0 at Borussia Monchengladbach, leaving Pep Guardiola’s men with an unassailable lead, with four round of games left.Bayern’s triumph comes later this season, as they won it with seven games left in the 2013/2014 campaign. They sat on top of the Bundesliga since Week 5.

Guardiola’s team are on course to win the Champions League where they face Barcelona in the semi-finals and the DFB-Pokal, where they play Borussia Dortmund in the last four.
