Nick Cannon remembers Sam Sarpong after TV star June's brother dies in 'suspected suicide'
The star has paid tribute to his friend after reports of his alleged suicide

Nick Cannon posted a tribute to Sam Sarpong on Instagram
Nick Cannon has paid tribute to June Sarpong's brother Sam after he allegedly committed suicide.
The star revealed that the Yo Momma co-host - who reportedly died on Thursday, according to Us Weekly - was part of his "crew" and called for people to look out for those who matter to them.
Sharing a black and white snap of the friends, Nick wrote: "#Crew #Love #RIP #SamSarpong We have to remember to lift each other up, because we all we got out here. #GreatSpirit #GreatSoul #GreatHeart #GoneTooSoon (sic)"
Meanwhile, Off The Record host Michael Landsberg joined those mourning Sam's passing, paying tribute to "the coolest guy ever".
In a series of tweets, he wrote: "I looked at Sam like he was the coolest guy ever. He had a cocky strut that said humility ever step... It has to become acceptable to say "I am suicidal. I am heading to the abyss. I am sick. I need help. I'm #sicknotweek." It's not right now. (sic)"

Confirming his death, Sam's publicist J.D. Sobol, told Variety in a statement : "It is with great sadness that the family of Samuel Sarpong, Jr. must share the news that Sam has passed away.
"The circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation and no additional details are known at this time. Information about final arrangements will be forthcoming.
"The family appreciates the thoughts prayers and other expressions of sympathy, and request their privacy be respected at this extremely difficult time.
"[Sarpong] had a pure heart and always went out of his way to help others. We will all miss him dearly."
Ed Winter, spokesperson for the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner, confirmed the news and it has been alleged Sam jumped off a bridge.

Tributes have started to flood in on Twitter, with one posting to 38-year-old June: "@ junesarpong My deepest condolences for your loss. God be with and keep you during this unfortunate & difficult time dear."
Sam was well-known in the States and also worked as a model for Tommy Hilfiger - being the face of the brand for a number of years.
Back in 2013, he told Black Hollywood Live: "I went from barely being able to pay my bills to now being an international model. I made a lot of money early. Luckily I had my father to guide me."
