Aisha Buhari doles out N55 million to parents of Chibok girls, Buni Yadi boys



Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja gave a N55 million cheque to parents of the kidnapped Chibok school girls and Buni Yadi school boys, who were slaughtered by Boko Haram in 2014.

Aisha noted that the cash gift was a fulfillment of her earlier promise to give the proceeds from her book “Essentials of Beauty Therapy” to parents of the Boko Haram victims.

She gave N30 million to parents of the Chibok girls and N25 million to parents of the Buni Yadi boys.


The President’s wife said: “The day I launched my book, I promised that the proceed will be used to empower the parents of missing Chibok girls and the Buni Yadi boys.

“And I am here today to present a cheque of N30 million to empower the parents of the girls and also a cheque of N25 million to empower the parents of the murdered Bunu Yadi boys.”

Aisha also stated that the remaining proceeds from her books will be used to care for Internally Displaced children.
