BBM To Now Support Phone Number Registration

 

BlackBerry is set to make available the next major update to its cross-platform chat service – BBM soon. 

The next major update expected soon, will see BBM now support the registration of phone numbers upon login as is the case on rival chat services like WhatsApp & Telegram.

Mathew Talbot, a Senior Vice President at BlackBerry stated that the inclusion of phone numbers in BBM registration has been long requested for by users worldwide. He later explained that the adoption will make it easier for users to connect with more BBM users based on the phone numbers in their contacts list.
This he says will enable quick chat up messages as well as a broadened BBM contacts list.
Welcome development if you ask me…. Makes a lot of sense.

The story is that he 'never socialized with Amber off set, other than a cast dinner', and adds that he had no on-set contact with her either, other than in a professional capacity.
