DJs Association of Nigeria lifts embargo on Terry G’s songs

The DJs Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has lifted the ban placed on playing Terry G songs. This is coming after his apology for slapping a DJ under DJ Jimmy Jatt‘s tutelage, DJ Phriz.

The artiste made this known via his Instagram page after a final decision was made on the issue.

According to a press release from DJAN, signed by its National Secretary, Sebastian Ikpoza, aka DJ Desert Storm, the National Executives of the DJs Association of Nigeria (DJAN) humbly appreciate the support and cooperation of Nigeria DJs for full participation on said subject.

“Terry G has shown a very reasonable level of remorse and had apologized to all parties concerned including apologizing to the leadership of the Association at all levels. After due consultations and deliberations, the Deejays Association of Nigeria hereby lifts the ‘EMBARGO’ on all songs of Terry G (including songs he featured in),” the release read.

Earlier in the month, the DJ association placed an embargo on playing Terry G’s songs for slapping DJ Phriz at MC Bash’s comedy show, D’Good, D’Bad & D’Funny.

The association had sent a circular to all Nigerian Disc Jockeys to stop playing all of the singer’s songs as well as songs that featured the music act.
